BARRY O'BRIEN

Barry brings an extremely impressive track record to the FSP Advisory Board, having served in many different capacities in front line positions in Hollywood for well over twenty years.

Currently Barry is the supervising Producer and a writer for the hit television series CSI Miami, now airing on CBS. He is also the co-creator of the Disney Channel smash hit entitled, Hannah Montana, also currently running on the air. Immediately prior to this, Barry served for three seasons of the Supervising Producer on the critically acclaimed Judging Amy, where he wrote several episodes, also for CBS television.

Barry has been a professional writer for television and feature films since 1982. One of his first professional successes was writing two episodes for the extremely popular and long running TV series Happy Days. Subsequently he was a writer for such popular series as Laverne and Shirley, Silver Spoons, Joanie Loves Chachi, The New Odd Couple and Love Boat. In 1988, Barry joined the staff of the hit series Perfect Strangers, where he wrote twenty episodes, and eventually became the show's Executive Producer.

Further credits include being the Executive Producer for the TV series Getting By, starring Cindy Williams, as well as Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, starring Mark Curry and Raven Simone. Barry also created and was the Executive Producer for his own show airing on the FOX Network entitled Between Brothers, starring Kadeem Hardison and Tommy Davidson. In addition, he has written several pilots for FOX, NBC, and UPN.

Barry formed a development deal with the Aaron Spelling Company, where he subsequently joined the staff of the NBC series entitled, Titans. Barry also worked for the Nickelodeon Network, where he produced the smash hit entitled, All That.

Barry has also worked on feature films, where he was a co-writer of the Jerry Bruckheimer smash hit theatrical release entitled, Kangaroo Jack. Barry's long and extremely successful career as a writer, producer and evaluator of scripts primarily within the family genre, will undoubtedly bring a significant source of experience to the FSP Advisory Board, where his talent will assuredly assist the group as it evaluates potential projects for the Fund's investment.
